Yonga Spray terms of use

What you can expect from Yonga Spray, and what it expects from you.

These terms are an agreement between you and Yonga Works about Yonga Spray, the app that appears as “Spray” on your phone. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

What happens to your data is set out in the privacy policy.

The agreement

Yonga Works gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to install Yonga Spray on your Android devices and use it for your own farm or business, or for the one you work for. The app and everything in it, apart from what you put into it, belongs to Yonga Works.

You must be at least 18 to use Yonga Spray.

If you got the app from Google Play, Google Play’s own terms also apply to the download and to any purchase.

What the app does

Yonga Spray is a notebook of spray and fertilizer records for a small grower or a lawn-care crew. You set up your fields, your products and your people once, and then say or type what was applied in one sentence; the app writes the record. From the intervals you entered for each product it shows when a field may be entered again and when it may be harvested, and it writes a period’s records to CSV and PDF files. You can always write or correct a record by hand.

The app works on your phone. Reading sentences is an online service that you can switch on or off. With it off, the app remains a spray notebook you keep by hand.

A record, not advice

Yonga Spray records what you tell it was applied. It does not recommend products, rates, timing or protective measures, and nothing it shows is agronomic, safety or legal advice.

  • Re-entry and harvest times are worked out from the intervals you entered for each product and from the times in the record. They are only as right as those numbers. The product label and the rules where you work come first: where they differ from what the app shows, follow them.
  • Rate warnings compare a record with the highest rate you entered for that product and with the rates in your own earlier records. A record without a warning is not, for that reason, lawful or safe.
  • Record templates, and the line that says how long to keep records, follow our reading of what each region asks. They help you keep a complete record; they do not guarantee that your records satisfy an inspector, a buyer or a certification scheme. Where it matters, check with your regulator or your adviser.

What to apply, how and when is your decision, and applying it lawfully and safely is your responsibility.

Automatic reading

Entries are read with the help of AI services, and automatic reading makes mistakes. It can pick the wrong field or product, the wrong rate or unit, or the wrong day, and your phone’s speech service can mishear a number before the entry is ever read. The app writes a record only for the lines it could check, asks you to pick when it is not sure, holds back a rate that is above the label rate you entered or far from your usual one, and shows what every entry became.

Check a record before you rely on it, and before you hand your records to anyone. What your records say is your responsibility. A wrong record can be voided and written again; the void stays in the list, with your reason.

Fair use

Reading an entry costs us money each time, and we do not charge you for it. For one grower’s ordinary use there is no limit you are likely to meet.

To keep the service available to everyone, there are technical limits on how much one installation can send in a minute and in a day, and on how much the whole service handles in a period. When a limit is reached, reading pauses. Your entries stay on your phone, and you can write records by hand until it resumes.

What you must not do

  • Use the reading service for anything other than keeping your own spray and fertilizer records in the app.
  • Send it automated or bulk requests, or try to get around its limits.
  • Try to break, probe, overload or reverse engineer the app or the service, except where the law gives you that right.
  • Put unlawful content, or private information that a spray record does not need, in your entries.
  • Copy, resell or redistribute the app.

We may suspend reading for an installation that does any of these.

Your records

What you put into the app is yours. You give Yonga Works permission to process your entries and your setup only as far as needed to provide the reading you asked for, which includes passing them to the service providers described in the privacy policy. We claim no other right over them.

Your data lives on your phone, and we hold no copy of it, so keeping the phone and its data safe is your responsibility. Spray records usually have to be kept for years. Android’s own backup, if it is on, carries the app’s data to a new phone, and the app can write your records to CSV and PDF files: export them now and then and keep the files somewhere of your own. If you uninstall the app or erase its data without a copy, what was on the phone is gone and we cannot restore it.

A single record is never edited or deleted. A wrong one is voided and stays in the list with its reason, and the corrected one is written beside it, because someone inspecting your records may ask what changed.

Other people in your records

Your records hold other people’s details: an applicator’s name and licence number, and in lawn care often a customer’s name and address. You are the one who collects and uses them, and you are responsible for doing so in line with the rules that apply where you work, including telling those people what you keep where the law asks for that.

Price

Yonga Spray is free to use today. If a paid plan is added later, its price and what it includes will be shown before you buy, and you will never be charged without your explicit agreement. Purchases would go through Google Play and follow its refund rules.

Changes and availability

The app is provided as it is today, and it will change: features may be added, changed or removed.

The reading service depends on our server and on third-party providers. It may be slow, paused or unavailable at times, and we may end it. If that happens, the app keeps working as a spray notebook you keep by hand, and your data stays on your phone.

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Export your records first if you need them.

Warranty and liability

We build Yonga Spray with care, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that reading will be accurate, that a time or a warning the app shows is right, that the service will be uninterrupted or that the app is free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Yonga Works is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost crops, lost business or lost data, for fines or penalties, or for decisions you make based on what the app shows. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights where you live.

Yonga Works is an independent software developer based in Türkiye. Questions and complaints go to [email protected].

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply to you. If you do not agree with them, stop using the app.
